Nick Cavallo - Head Coach
Coach Cavallo was named the third Longhorn Head coach by the LCISD board of trustees on March 22, 2018. Cavallo was a Letterman on the Purdue University football team from 2002-2006. Cavallo began coaching in 2007 and has had stops at Purdue University, Rutgers University, Campbell University and most recently at B.F. Terry High School. While at Terry, Cavallo coached Linebackers, Defensive Line, and has been the Defensive Coordinator. In addition, he was a special education teacher, head boys soccer coach and an assistant coach in track and field. Cavallo is married to Kristen Cavallo, who is the Head Volleyball coach at Lamar Consolidated High School, they have three children that attend LCISD school, Adriana 8, Blake 6, and Colt 5.

Wade Oliphant-Offensive Coord./ Quterbacks
Coach Oliphant is entering his 13th year in education and his first year at George Ranch. Prior to coming to George Ranch, he has had stops at Pearland Dawson, Clear Springs and Clear Brook. Coach Oliphant will be the Offensive Coordinator. He is married to Anita Oliphant who is the Counselor at Thomas Elementary. They have two daughters, Anyia, 21 and Jordyn, 10. They are excited to be a part of the GRHS family.
Kent Jones - Asst. Head Coach /Offensive Line
Coach Jones is starting his 4th year at George Ranch. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He has been coaching for 11 years.
He teaches AP Economics and also is the Assistant Wrestling Coach. He is married to Erin and has two children, Avery and Ty.
Greg Jones- Tight Ends
Coach Greg Jones is entering his 18th year in education and first at George Ranch. He joins his younger brother Kent to help coach the offensive line and more specifically, the tight ends and H-backs. Coach Jones has spent the last 3 years at Terry High School. Other coaching stops include, George Junior High, Gautier, Mississippi and Greene County Mississippi. He is married to Amy, and they have two children, Mary Taylor, 23 and Gregor, 14.
Brandon Brooks- Running Back
Coach Brooks is entering his 4th year in education, and his first year at George Ranch. Prior to coming to George Ranch, Coach Brooks taught and coached at Foster High School. He graduated from Terry High School in LCISD, and then went on to play college football at the New Mexico Military Institute.
Coach Brooks Teaches Science Inclusion, and coaches Football and Basketball. He is Married to Alison Brooks, and has a daughter, Baylee Brooks.
Cade Laufer - Wide Receivers/Special Teams Coordinator
Richard Guzman - Inside Linebackers
Richard Guzman is in his 4th year at George Ranch. Richard is a 1991 graduate of Stafford High School and graduated from Sam Houston University in 1997 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. This is his eighteenth year coaching. He previously coached at Travis High School.
Coach Guzman is married to wife, Annette , and the couple have two children Jacob and Alana.
He enjoys spending time with his family!

Greg Kobza - Defensive Line
Greg Kobza is a native of Victoria, Texas. He received a B.S. degree from Sam Houston State. He has been coaching for 21 years. Coach Kobza is in his 13th year in LCISD.
He teaches PE and also is the Head Baseball Coach. He has two children, Taylor and Dalton. Coach Kobza enjoys the outdoors.
Lance Hale - Athletic Trainer
Lance Hale is the Head Athletic Trainer for George Ranch High School. A native of Bay City, Texas. He is a Graduate From Sam Houston State University with a degree in Kinesiology.
Prior to opening George Ranch, he was at Lamar Consolidated High school for four years, West Columbia 3 years, Elkins High School 4 years and Lufkin High School 3 years.
He is married to wife, Kristie and they have two children Walker and Zara.
